As I sit on the porch and enjoy the cool evening air, it’s hard to believe that it’s already September…
It seems like just yesterday it was January, and we had to remove every. scrap. of. furniture. from downstairs so the guys could install our beautiful new wood floors.
It seems like just yesterday it was February, and the kids were so excited about their new rubber boots they could wear in the muddy backyard.
It seems like just yesterday it was March, and the kids had a blast riding carnival rides at the Houston Rodeo.
It seems like just yesterday it was the end of March, and we celebrated Jayden’s 7th birthday with dodgeball and Transformers.
It seems like just yesterday it was early April, my belly was huuuge, and we were wondering whether we would be blessed with another boy or another girl.
I seems like just yesterday it was April 17th, and we welcomed home little Baby James.
It seems like just yesterday it was early May, and I watched my oldest “baby” walk to and wait for the BIG school bus…all by himself.
It seems like just yesterday it was the end of May, and Jayden finished 1st grade with honor roll and perfect attendance honors.
It seems like just yesterday it was summery June, and we were cheering on the 7 year old All-Star team in the championship game.
It seems like just yesterday it was July, and we made friends with a family from Dallas while sitting on the Galveston seawall waiting for fireworks.
It seems like just yesterday it was July 25th, and I stood on the beach as my baby sister married the love of her life while I gained a brother.
It seems like just yesterday it was August, and we spent the last weekend of summer touring the aquarium, swimming, and watching 3-D movies at Moody Gardens.
And now here it is September and…
- Jules will be 3;
- Jeff and my sister will celebrate their birthdays;
- James will be 5 months;
- my parents will celebrate their wedding anniversary;
- we will buy costumes for Halloween;
- I will send out report cards for my student’s first 6 weeks of school;
- Jayden will receive his first 9 week report card of 2nd grade;
- we will start making Thanksgiving and Christmas break plans.
It has been a fabulous year, and I just can’t believe it’s almost over!
